A Pop-Up Exhibit in Mission Plaza

Earth is our home planet. It provides us with life and protects us from space. And as far as we know, there’s nothing like it.
Explore the Earth and our place in the solar system in this Mission Plaza Pop-Up exhibit throughout the month of July. We’re bringing the learning, interactivity and fun of the Children’s Museum to the heart of Downtown SLO with this free community exhibit. Learn about phases of the moon, the best places to see the stars, upcoming celestial events, how the sky has inspired art throughout history, and more fun facts about the Earth. Take silly photos in front of spacey backdrops, admire magnificent photographs, participate in a community sticker mosaic art project and check out the epic 10-foot lighted Earth suspended over Mission Plaza!
